Coming in sharing the top spot in Group G of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, Unicaja emphatically separated itself from JDA Dijon securing the win, 88-68, Wednesday night.

Dylan Osetkowski poured 16 points in the Gameday 2 affair. Dario Brizuela followed with 15 points. Tyler Kalinoski had 13 points in a relatively balanced offensive effort hosted in Malaga’s Palacio Municipal.

With the advantage quickly rising to double-digits and peaking at 25 points, Ibon Navarro’s side never trailed on the way to the 2-0 start in the 2022-23 edition of the Champions League. Sitting at 2-2 in Spain’s Liga Endesa makes out the domestic league situation.

La Jeanne, at 3-2 in France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A, was forced down to 1-1 in the four-team group. The French outfit is tied with PAOK mateco but settles in second place by virtue of the win in Thessaloniki a couple of weeks ago. At the bottom of the table is 0-2 Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari.

In a rough outing for his team, fan-favorite David Holston passed Tamir Blatt and climbed third in the all-time assists list in BCL history. Lenovo Tenerife’s Marcelinho Huertas and Filou Oostende’s Dusan Djordjevic currently hold the first and second sports, respectively. Besides the one assist for the night, the Chicago State product registered two steals and is now one shy of the BCL all-time leader Jeremy Leloup.

Elsewhere on the team guided by Nenad Markovic, former Wichita State standout Markis McDuffie scored a game-high 18 points.
