After completing a brief run at GeVi Napoli, Dimitris Agravanis moved his talents back to Greece by signing with Peristeri bwin.

Agravanis, 27, inked a contract for the remainder of the season with an option for an additional season, the team announced Friday morning.

Legendary player-turned-head coach Vassilis Spanoulis was a teammate for Agravanis during his lengthy stint at Olympiacos between 2013 and 2019. Following his departure from the Reds, he spent the next three seasons at Promitheas before his first experience abroad starting the 2022-23 campaign in Italy. Averaging 8.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.3 steals per contest described his run in the LBA Serie A.

In 2015, the Atlanta Hawks selected him with the 59th overall pick in the NBA draft. His rights were traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017 and Sacramento Kings in 2018.

A veteran of 79 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 40 in the 7DAYS EuroCup, he is now heading to his debut in the Basketball Champions League. Sitting at 2-1, Peristeri currently shares the top of Group H of the Regular Season with defending champion Lenovo Tenerife. Bnei Ofek Dist Herzliya and Rytas Vilnius follow carrying 1-2 records.

An even 2-2 record shapes the start for Peristeri in Greece’s Basket League. Back to the domestic level following the loss to Rytas on Tuesday, the team coached by Spanoulis will host Karditsa Viologiko Horio in Regular Season Round 5 action Sunday.

At the international level, Agravanis represented Greece in multiple junior international tournaments stretching through U16, U18, and U20 squads, and at the senior level. He last played in the 2022 EuroBasket registering 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.
