After the most competitive Regular Season in the history of the competition and a lot of surprises in the Play-Ins, the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League welcomes the Round of 16, and in the first week of this stage, there have been a lot of exciting encounters

On Tuesday, Daron Russell debuted in the best way possible, leading Galatasaray to a crushing victory against Bryce Jones and Limoges. Then, SIG Strasbourg and Hapoel Holon went to OT, where the French team had the upper hand. Lenovo Tenerife and BAXI Manresa, finally, got the first wins by Spanish teams in this year’s Round of 16.

On Wednesday, instead, the other two Spanish victories came, as both Bilbao and Unicaja got their first Sweet 16 wins, respectively against Darussafaka and AEK. JDA Dijon reached Strasbourg on top of Group I, beating once again an Israeli team as Hapoel Jerusalem lost against David Holston and teammates.
