A Spanish derby and a lot of exciting action in Week 3 of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16

In Week 2 of the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League Round of 16 the French and Israeli derbies in Group I have been witnessed, as well as the Spanish one in Group L between Murcia and Bilbao. In Week 3, new anticipating action and another Spanish clash will occur.

Starting from Group I, SIG Strasbourg looks forward to the encounter against Hapoel Jerusalem to win three games in a row, which hasn’t happened since January 2022. Luca Banchi‘s team is currently unbeaten, the exact opposite of Hapoel Holon, which hasn’t lost more than two games in a row since January-November 2020. The purple-and-gold will face JDA Dijon on the road.

In Group J, Telekom Baskets Bonn is 2-0 after managing to escape the box-and-one to TJ Shorts with the help of Tyson Ward and Collin Malcolm, and the German team will now face Rytas Vilnius in Lithuania. On the same day, Bahcesehir will try to win the first of its BCL Round of 16 games, but BAXI Manresa has won its last four away games in the BCL.

In Group K, Galatasaray is living the worst moment of his recent past, and the Turkish team will have to face the unbeaten Unicaja on the road. Malaga Unicaja has won seven of its last eight BCL games but its last two defeats in the competition came at home. The previous day, AEK will host Limoges CSP after conquering Istanbul on the road.

Finally, we will see another Spanish derby in Group L, as the reigning BCL champions of Lenovo Tenerife will host Surne Bilbao after the Basque side lost against Murcia. On the same day but two hours and a half before, Darussafaka will try to beat UCAM after losing three of its last four home games.
