Jonáš Janota, Peter Kováčik, and Jakub Zajíc from Basketball Nymburk talked about the Youth BCL

ERA Nymburk didn’t have the greatest of runs in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League, being eliminated in Group D of the Regular Season with a 2-4 record. However, the club from the Czech Republic will have the opportunity to redeem itself in the Youth Basketball Champions League.

Following Hapoel Jerusalem, Lenovo Tenerife, and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, it’s now time for Basketball Nymburk’s talents Jonáš Janota, Peter Kováčik, and Jakub Zajíc to speak about the upcoming tournament which will take place in Bursa from April 11 to April 15.

“I think we play extremely hard in every practice, so that’s the thing that will help us in the tournament. I think that this big tournament is really a big chance for myself and my team to boost ourselves”, Jonáš Janota said. “It’s a good chance to show that we are good in youth categories. It’s a great chance to show that Youth Nymburk is as good as the senior team”, Jakub Zajíc added.

They will be joined by the junior team of Hapoel Jerusalem, Tofas Bursa, Bnei Ofek Dist Herzliya, Filou Oostende, Igokea m:tel, Lenovo Tenerife, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, Rytas Vilnius, and UCAM Murcia, in two groups of five teams each. The draw will take place in February.
