Darussafaka Basketball announced that the club signed former NBA guard Mason Jones for the upcoming season. Jones will play in Europe for the first time in his career and will compete in both the Basketball Champions League and the Turkish BSL League.

Jones, 24, completed 2022-23 with the jersey of the Mexico City Captains, averaging 21.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in the G-League. In 2022, he had been named to the All NBA G-League First Team as a player of the South Bay Lakers.

In the NBA, Jones has registered 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds through 36 appearances from 2020 to 2022 with the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jones is the second summer signing of a foreign (non-Turkish) player by Dacka after guard Kyle Allman Jr. and guard Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman.
