In the lead for almost 36 minutes, including large chunks on a double-digit cushion, Peristeri bwin placed in the win column.

Looking to recover from a loss in the opening week of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season and the 0-3 start in Greece’s Basket League, the team guided by Vassilis Spanoulis beat Falco Vulcano Szombathely, 87-70, on Wednesday.

Former UCLA standout Jaylen Hands recorded a game-high 20 points with 8/14 from the field in the Gameday 2 contest of Group A. Joe Ragland went for 18 points, seven assists, and three rebounds. The loss in Peristeri Arena was the seventh in a row away from Arena Savaria in the Champions League. The team guided by Milos Konakov was forced down to 0-2 in the four-team group. Defending the championship in Hungary, a 3-0 start in Tippmix Ferfi NB I/A turned to 3-1 on Saturday, adding to the ongoing three-game losing streak across all competitions.

The visitors enjoyed the lead early in the first quarter but trailed the rest of the way. Matt Tiby and Zoltan Perl ended up with 16 and 14 points, respectively in Greece. Akos Keller followed with 13 points to go with five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
