Replacing Nate Mason, Le Mans completed the addition of Trevor Hudgins.
Hudgins, 24, inked a contract for the remainder of the season, the team announced on Tuesday.
Carrying the experience of five appearances in the NBA with the Houston Rockets during the 2022-23 Regular Season, he used his overseas options for the next step in his career. A leading star of Northwest Missouri State in NCAA Division II, he spent most of his first professional campaign in the G League. After rejoining the Rockets on a two-way contract in July, he was waived at the end of the 2023 NBA Preseason.
In Europe, Hudgins will compete at the continental level through the Basketball Champions League. MSB currently sits at 1-1 with four games left in Group A of the Regular Season. With five wins over ten outings in France’s Betclic Elite, a balanced tally paints the picture of the domestic action as well.
Looking to upgrade the squad, Le Mans released Mason and put Hudgins at the point. The departing combo guard averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 assists per BCL contest, and 11.3 points per game in France’s top-tier division for the team coached by Eric Delord.
PAOK adds Justin Alston
Elsewhere in the Champions League, Justin Alston joined PAOK mateco on a short-term deal. Jamuni McNeace was ruled out for six to eight weeks due to a recent injury. Reacting to the setback, the Thessaloniki outfit will advance the campaign with the 29-year-old forward/center in Group G of the BCL and Greece’s Basket League.
Fellow participant in FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition, Hapoel Holon recently signed Alston but released him after the decision to reschedule the Gameday 3 meeting with Bursaspor Info Yatirim.
