Making things happen and nearing a milestone in the Basketball Champions League, David Holston lifted JDA Dijon over Promitheas.

Protecting home court, the French club earned the win, 88-80, on Tuesday.

Veteran point guard David Holston dropped 25 points behind 8/10 field goals, including 5/7 three-pointers. Tallying 14 points in the third quarter pushed his side into a commanding position. The advantage stabilized over ten points for large chunks of the second half.

Dishing out four assists in Gameday 3 of the BCL Regular Season, Holston inched closer to the 400-assist mark. He requires two more dimes to join former Final Four MVP Marcelo Huertas as the second player on the list.

His longtime teammate at Dijon, Jacques Alingue recorded 12 points, a new personal best for the 2023-24 campaign. In his Champions League debut, Ahmad Caver put in 14 points. Gregor Hrovat had 12 points.

Zimbabwean big Vitalis Chikoko has been dealing with a hamstring injury, keeping him sidelined for over two weeks. However, La Jeanne managed to improve to 3-0 in a perfect top half in the double-legged round-robin schedule of Group B.

For the visitors, Anthony Cowan Jr. scored a team-high 22 points. Chris Coffey ended up with 11 points in Palais des Sport Jean-Michel Geoffroy.

The team coached by Ilias Papatheodorou dropped to 2-1 in the four-team group. At 4-2 in Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League, Promitheas will host Patras rival Apollon Carna on Sunday.
