A true nail-biter unfolded in the Promitheas Patras and JDA Bourgogne Dijon encounter in Greece, with the Top 16 spot on the line for the French side.

Eventually, Dijon joined AEK and Unicaja in the next stage with a 68-71 overtime victory, improving to 5-0 and leaving Promitheas and Rytas in the Play-in spots, with Opava being eliminated.

The hosts had a chance to win the match in regular time, with De’Shawn Stephens having two free throws as only six seconds remained on the clock. He missed both and grabbed the offensive rebound, but Promitheas couldn’t even attempt a shot for the win.

In the tough added minutes, both teams struggled to find a way to score, with Ahmad Caver making the difference in the final minute. He scored a jump shot with 33 seconds on the clock and then, 13 seconds later, hit two free throws, proving to be enough for the crucial win.

Caver was the top scorer for Dijon with 18 points, while David Holston followed with 14, also recording seven steals.

Promitheas also had just two players in double figures, with Jaime Echenique scoring 16 and Linos Chrysikopoulos adding 10 points.
