Leading from start to finish, most of the way carrying a double-digit advantage, Telekom Baskets Bonn clinched a berth in the Quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League.

The defending champions defeated JDA Dijon, 89-74, in Telekom Dome on Tuesday.

Former Nebraska and North Dakota State standout Sam Griesel tallied a team-high 17 points behind 6/8 field goals in Gameday 5 of the Round of 16. Harald Frey posted a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. More double-digit scoring displays extended to Noah Kirkwood with 13 points, Christian Sengfelder with 12 points, and Thomas Kennedy with 11 points. Lars Thiemann and Benedikt Turudic were unavailable.

Going up to 4-1 in Group J and entering the Quarterfinals for a second straight season, the team coached by Roel Moors set the stipulation for the meeting with easyCredit BBL rival MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg next Wednesday. The winner will rank first sending the losing side to the second seed with both German clubs progressing to the Quarterfinals.

Down Ahmad Caver and David Holston, Allan Dokossi was limited by a knee injury during the second quarter. Cameron Hunt registered a game-high 19 points as his side fell to 1-4.

Unable to remain competitive in the second half, La Jeanne was eliminated before hosting Galatasaray Ekmas on Gameday 6. The next goal is reaching the Semifinals of the French Cup via a meeting with Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez on Saturday. In France’s Betclic Elite, an 11-14 W-L tally ranks 11th.
