Completing the field of the Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals, Promitheas takes down AEK Betsson, 79-67, in Ano Liosia Olympic Hall on Wednesday.

Following items thrown on the court and on the bench of the visitors, the Gameday 6 affair was interrupted for several minutes with 7:13 left in the fourth quarter.

Responding to a late run by the hosts reducing the deficit to one point, Hunter Hale scored all the points in a 9-0 run to restore a safe advantage in crunch time. The 26-year-old guard finished with 29 points in Athens. Jaime Echenique produced a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The team coached by Ilias Papatheodorou went up to 4-2 at the end of the double-legged round-robin schedule and ranked second in Group L. In a roster move before Gameday 6, Jamal Jones was released from his contract last week.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas with 15 points and Dimitris Agravanis with 13 points stood out in a seventh loss in a row at the continental level, including a 0-6 run in the Round of 16, for AEK. Justin Tillman, Dimitris Flionis, Alfis Pilavios, Jordan Morgan, and Manos Mataliotakis were unavailable for the team coached by Ilias Zouros.
