After losing their opening Basketball Champions League Round of 16 games on the road, Aliaga Petkim and Pallacanestro Reggiana faced off at Aliaga Belediyesi Enka Arena.

The Italian side emerged victorious after a tense 45-minute battle, recording an 87-91 road win in overtime.

Jamar Smith nailed a go-ahead three-pointer with three seconds left, but the hosts still had a chance to win in regulation. Wesley Van Beck went to the free-throw line but made only his second attempt, sending the game into overtime. In the nerve-wracking extra period, Reggiana showed better composure in the crucial moments and ultimately secured the victory.

Kwan Cheatham led Reggiana with 20 points, followed by Jamar Smith with 14 and Cassius Winston with 11 points. Stephane Gombauld and Kenneth Faried chipped in 10 points each, with the former NBA player grabbing eight rebounds.

On the Turkish side, Bryson Williams had a standout performance, scoring 27 points, though it wasn’t enough for the win. DeWayne Russell added 15 points, while Wesley Van Beck and Breein Tyree contributed 12 points each.
