Up until the end of the second quarter, BAXI Manresa looked favorite in pulling off the road victory in Reggio Emilia. From halftime on, Dimitris Priftis’ took control and finished on top 85-70.

Jaylen Barford had the second-best personal performance from this year’s Basketball Champions League after Game 1 of the Play-Ins against Bonn; this time, he led Reggiana with 19 points and 6 rebounds.

Contributing to the second consecutive win for the red-and-white Italian team in their first-ever BCL Round of 16, Kenneth Faried went close to a double-double with 9 points and 12 rebounds.

For BAXI Manresa, the two composed of Derrick Alston Jr (20 points over 3/8 from three-point range) and Cameron Hunt (17 points over 2/4 from the perimeter).

It was a good game rebounding-wise for both teams (Pallacanestro Reggiana 44, BAXI Manresa 40), but ultimately the home side finished on top.

In the other game of the week in Group K, La Laguna Tenerife stayed unbeaten by winning over Aliaga Petkimspor 90-83. At the moment, the two-time champions are 3-0 in the Round of 16.
