Rytas Vilnius visited Istanbul tonight with the possibility of getting to the Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals, but things didn’t work out for the Lithuanians.
On the other side, Galatasaray needed to win by 21 or more points to advance, as they previously lost 86-66 against Rytas in the Lithuanian capital.
In the end, Yakup Sekizkok’s team managed to get the 89-81 victory.
Everything got postponed for the final gameday of the Round of 16, when Rytas will host Unicaja and Galatasaray travel to Manisa.
Will Cummings (22 points) and RJ Cole (25 points) went to battle during tonight’s matchup, with the vintage and experienced Galatasaray’s guard getting the upper hand.
In the other matchup of the day in Group J, Unicaja beat Manisa – thanks to Gala’s win, they secured the 1st place.
