From Virtus Segafredo Bologna to AEK Betsson, 27-year-old Rayjon Tucker is looking to bounce back down the stretch of the 2024-25 campaign

Rayjon Tucker signed a contract with AEK Betsson for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Echoing rumblings, the Basketball Champions League outfit officially announced the addition of the Charlotte native on Saturday.

The assignment with the Queen meets the team guided by Dragan Sakota in the Quarterfinals of the Champions League, with a homecourt advantage in a best-of-three series versus Nanterre 92 for a ticket to the Final Four. In Greece’s Stoiximan GBL, his new side is heading to the Playoffs after ranking third in the Regular Season and will have a homecourt advantage against PAOK mateco in a best-of-three series of the Quarterfinals.

Tucker joined Virtus Segafredo Bologna to start the season. Introducing himself to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, he tallied 3.4 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 assists per contest over 23 appearances, including eight starts. Logging 21 games played in Italy’s LBA UnipolSai Regular Season, he put up 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.7 steals per contest.

Undrafted out of Little Rock, he made his way to 50 NBA games with the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, and Milwaukee Bucks, including 11 in the Playoffs. In addition, he represented the United States in two games of the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2023.

Moving to Oceania’s NBL, Tucker spent the 2022-23 campaign with Melbourne United. Reaching Europe in the 2023-24 season, he played for Umana Reyer Venice in the BKT EuroCup and domestic competitions in Italy.
