Following AEK and Galatasaray‘s victories respectively against Nanterre and Nymburk to start the Quarter-Finals action on Wednesday in the Basketball Champions League, it was time for Unicaja and Pallacanestro Reggiana to go up against in their best-of-three-game series.

Ultimately, it was a dominant encounter for the hosts, who managed to take down one of the surprises of the season, 105-68, getting the upper hand to begin the Quarter-Finals.

Tyson Carter was Unicaja‘s highest scoring leader at 20 points over 7/9 from the field and a perfect 3/3 at the line; Melvin Ejim surprised with a season-high 17 points for him.

Kwan Cheatham had the highest losing effort for Reggiana at 19 points over 5/6 from beyond the arc.

Dimitris Priftis’ team was also without Kenneth Faried, who had to rush to the United States to attend his mother’s funeral following her sad departure. He will come back for Game 2.

Talking about Game 2, the red-and-white Italian side will host the reigning BCL champions next Tuesday at 20:00 CET. In case of another win, Unicaja will advance to the Final Four.
