Dragan Sakota will remain the head coach of AEK BC for at least one more season as the club officially announced.
The press release keeps the door open for a longer deal, since Sakota has a special relationship with AEK, having won in the past the Greek League, the Greek Cup and the Basketball Championship League.
Most recently he led the team to the 3rd place of the BCL 2025 Final Four, completing a unexpectedly successful season.
Born in 1952, Sakota was expected to remain with the team, however the possibility of him becoming the technical director, a role he also held in the past, was open.
However, he decided to lead from the bench once more.
