Plenty of Basketball Champions League moves, including Galatasaray MCT Technic keeping 32-year-old Will Cummings

After leading his side to the championship game of the Final Four powered by Sunel of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season, 32-year-old Will Cummings is sticking around for a second campaign with Galatasaray MCT Technic. Named to the Second Team of last season’s Star Lineup, the former Temple standout inked a one-year contract extension to start the next continental journey in Group E of the Regular Season, with the Lions taking on Igokea m:tel, FIT/One Wurzburg, and Trieste. He is a veteran of 35 appearances in the Champions League.

Drawn in Group D on Wednesday, Trapani Shark welcomed 25-year-old Timmy Allen. The Most Valuable Player of the 2024-25 edition of the BNXT League, also the Belgian Finals MVP, is bouncing back from nine BCL games with Filou Oostende. Before expanding his career overseas last season, the American small forward logged five NBA appearances with the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2023-24 Regular Season.

In Group D with the Italian club, alongside La Laguna Tenerife and Bnei Penlink Herzeliya, Tofas extended the contract of 26-year-old Yigitcan Saybir for the next season. From displaying his talents in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, 7DAYS EuroCup, and FIBA Europe Cup, the Turkish winger will put the BCL on his list of continental competitions.

Another Champions League rookie, 25-year-old Mohamed Diarra, penned a three-year contract to join Cholet, heading to Group C.

Busy Qualifiers teams

In the Qualification Rounds and now set to start an eight-team tournament against FC Porto, Falco Szombathely picked up 24-year-old Salamon Herger, signing him to a 1+1 contract. Kristof Bognar, Strahinja Jovanovic, Zoltan Perl, Andras Tanoh Dez, Akos Keller, Benedek Varadi, Peter Veraszto, and Szymon Wojcik were already in for the team coached by Milos Konakov.

Part of the same group with the Hungarian club and set to face Elan Chalon in the Quarterfinals, Fribourg Olympic announced the arrival of 33-year-old Bryan Colon and brought back 20-year-old Alois Leyrolles.

Elsewhere in the Qualifiers field, 28-year-old Rickey McGill joined Patrioti Levice, 27-year-old Arunas Mikalauskas moved to Heroes Den Bosch, 36-year-old Kris Richard re-signed with CSM CSU Oradea, and Karhu kept 22-year-old Eemi Luukkonen.
