Gran Canaria signed big man Louis Labeyrie for the 2025-26 season, the club announced. The French player is back in the Spanish ACB after spending the three previous years in Russia with Unics Kazan.

Labeyrie averaged 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16:22 minutes over 23 VTB League games last season. Both him and Gran Canaria will make their Basketball Champions League debut in the upcoming campaign.

Before Unics, Labeyrie played for Valencia for four years. He became a EuroCup champion with the team in 2019.

Gran Canaria will participate in Group H of the Basketball Champions League regular season, facing Le Mans, Benfica and Spartak Office Shoes.

Meanwhile, Basketball Champions League Qualifiers participant UCAM Murcia announced the addition of forward Sander Raieste.

Raieste, 26, was a member of Baskonia from 2016. In 2014-15, he appeared in 14 EuroLeague games, posting 2.6 points in 9:33.
