ALBA Berlin has signed American forward Moses Wood on a contract that runs through the end of the 2025–26 season.
The 2.03-meter tall power forward arrives from the Valley Suns, the NBA G League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and shot nearly 40% from three-point range last season.
“Moses has a great character and is a smart player with a strong shot and defensive presence,” said ALBA sporting director Himar Ojeda. “He fits well with our style of play, though he’ll need some time to adapt to the European game.”
Berlin will be Wood’s first overseas stop after a collegiate career that included stints at Tulane, UNLV, Portland, and Washington. His most productive seasons came at Portland, where he averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 40% from deep.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about ALBA, the fans, and the club’s history,” said Wood. “I can’t wait to get started and experience Berlin, the culture, and everything that comes with it.”
Basketball was in Moses’ blood. His father played professionally from 1987 to 2001, including seven seasons in the NBA. In 1999, David Wood played in Limoges, France, where Moses was born on May 3, 1999.
