Roster moves for Basketball Champions League outfits, ALBA Berlin and Hapoel Netanel Holon

J’Wan Roberts inked a one-year contract with ALBA Berlin. After finishing his NCAA career with Houston by starting for the Cougars on the wrong end of the championship game of the recent Final Four in San Antonio against Florida, the 23-year-old forward will launch his professional career with the German club in the Basketball Champions League, competing in Group B of the Regular Season. “I’m ready to get to work,” Roberts introduced himself to the Albatrosse, “And I’m ready for a great season.”

Preparing for Group C, Hapoel Netanel Holon picked up 29-year-old Hassan Martin on a preseason contract with an option for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. The experienced big is looking to return to the Champions League after ten games with medi Bayreuth in 2018. Between 2020 and 2023, the Rhode Island product appeared in 78 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague fixtures, but has been dealing with an injury over recent months. “His joining us in preparations is a significant boost, moving to the new season,” mentioned head coach Danny Franco.

Heading to the Qualification tournaments in Samokov and dealing with preseason injuries, Windrose Giants Antwerp signed 30-year-old Vincent Kesteloot on a two-month contract. The Belgian forward is a veteran of 58 BCL games, including 16 during his previous stint with Antwerp.

Elsewhere, Juventus Utena added 28-year-old John Fulkerson, the Bakken Bears promoted 20-year-old William Bloch to the senior squad, and Pelister Bitola hired 42-year-old Borce Daskalovski as the new head coach.
