Aaron Broussard penned a two-year contract extension with Benfica, the team announced on Wednesday.

“We still have a lot of work ahead of us, more goals to achieve,” mentioned the Portuguese League champion over the last four years during an interview with Benfica TV, “I’m honored to be back and have another season. More wins, that’s the plan. Now we need to win some of the trophies we didn’t win in the past and continue building and achieving more success.”

After four NCAA seasons with Seattle from 2008 to 2012, his professional career went from Iceland and the lower divisions of France to Poland, Romania, and Russia. In 2021, he moved his talents to the Eagles.

“I love the country, and Lisbon is very beautiful,” said Broussard, “It’s like home, and the people are friendly.”

Carrying the experience of 43 Basketball Champions League games, the 35-year-old winger will add to his tally via Group H of the Regular Season, opposite Dreamland Gran Canaria, Le Mans, and Spartak Office Shoes.

Beyond Daniel Relvao and Jose Silva recently renewing their stays, Jhonathan Andrade, Makram Ben Romdhane, Geno Crandall, Aleksander Dziewa, Tiago Filipe, Eduardo Francisco, Diogo Gameiro, Koby McEwen, Sergio Sousa, Justice Sueing, and Temidayo Yussuf were previously confirmed on the 2025-26 squad.

Elsewhere in the BCL, 25-year-old Robert Chougkaz joined Karditsa Iaponiki on Friday. Debuting in European club continental competitions, he will display his talents in Group G versus Unicaja, Filou Oostende, and Mersin Spor.
