The 2025–26 Basketball Champions League season is underway!
In the opening game, Promitheas Patras Bikoc Cola hosted MLP Academics Heidelberg at the Dimitris Tofalos Arena and recorded an 89-83 victory to start the Regular Season on a high note.
Rob Gray led the way for the winning team with 20 points, while Kandale McCullum followed with 15. Leyton Hammonds added 13, Antonios Karagiannidis had 12 along with eight rebounds, and JP Macura scored 11. Pauly Paulicap came close to a double-double with eight points and 12 rebounds.
As for Heidelberg, DJ Horne had 22 points, while Michael Weathers contributed 13.
The Greek side scored 32 points in the first quarter and built a 19-point lead, which they later extended to 70–50 late in the third period.
However, Heidelberg fought back and cut the gap to just three points (79–76) in the closing moments, but Promitheas managed to hold on and secure the win.
