The first round of the 2025/26 Basketball Champions League Regular Season pitted Fitness First Würzburg Baskets against Pallacanestro Trieste at tectake Arena in Germany.
After 40 minutes of exciting basketball, Würzburg emerged victorious, defeating the Italian side at home 78–63.
Davion Mintz shined for the hosts with 24 points, shooting 5/10 from beyond the arc, while Marcus Carr added 14 and Johnathan Stove followed with 11.
For Trieste, Jahmi’us Ramsey stood out with 18 points, while former NBA champion Juan Toscano-Anderson went scoreless in his BCL debut.
The German team built an early lead in the first quarter, but Trieste fought back and briefly went ahead midway through the second period. Still, Würzburg recovered to regain control before halftime, stayed in front through most of the third quarter, and delivered a key 8–0 run in the fourth to seal the win over Israel González’s team.
