History was made tonight in Serbia!
Spartak Subotica returned to the international stage after more than two decades and made a dream start to their Basketball Champions League journey, defeating Le Mans 74–73 in a dramatic finish in Subotica.
Keondre Kennedy and Olivier Hanlan scored 15 points each to lead Spartak to victory, while Danilo Nikolić followed with 11.
On the other side, Johnny Berhanemeskel had 17 points, Trevor Hudgins followed with 13, while Lucas Dufeal added 11 and David DiLeo 10.
In the final minutes, Le Mans led 68–63, but Spartak turned it around. Stefan Momirov hit a big three, and Kiondre Kennedy followed with another to make it 69–68.
After Hudgins briefly put Le Mans ahead, Olivier Hanlan answered with a clutch triple, then sank two free throws with 6.8 seconds left. Hudgins’ last shot came too late — Spartak held on for a dramatic and historic first BCL Regular Season win.
