American player scored 33 points, including nine in a row in the fourth quarter, securing the win for the Germans

Heidelberg achieved their first victory of the season in the Basketball Champions League by defeating Rytas at home with a score of 92-83.

DJ Horne was incredible for the German team, finishing the game with 33 points (7/11 for two, 6/9 for three, 1/1 free throws).

Alongside him, Marcel Kesen and Osun Osunniyi added 12 points, while Marcus Weathers contributed with ten points. For the Lithuanians, four players scored in double figures, with Ignas Sargiunas and Gytis Radzevicius being the most efficient, scoring 15 points.

After a very close game, Horne took control. At a score of 73-73, he hit three consecutive three-pointers in two minutes, giving his team a nine-point lead, which was enough for Heidelberg to secure the win.

Both teams now have a record of 1-1. In the next game, Heidelberg will host Legia, while Rytas will play against Promitheas in Vilnius in the third round.
