Gran Canaria earned another win in the Basketball Champions League, defeating Spartak away with a score of 93-83.
Braian Angola delivered a standout performance for the visitors. The former Turk Telekom and Hapoel Tel Aviv player scored 24 points (6/8 for two, 1/1 for three, 9/11 free throws) and grabbed four rebounds. Nicolas Brussino added 19 points, while Isaiah Wong contributed with 14.
Spartak was helped by a strong performance from Olivier Hanlan, who scored 28 points, and Shevon Thompson, who added 15, but it wasn’t enough.
After a balanced first half, Gran Canaria decided the game late in the third quarter, when a scoring run by Isaiah Wong opened up a double-digit lead that the team maintained comfortably until the end.
Gran Canaria remains unbeaten in the BCL, with three wins from three rounds. On the other hand, Spartak now has two wins and one loss, and will visit Gran Canaria in two weeks for the fourth round of Group H.
