Benfica recorded a victory in the fourth round match of the Basketball Champions League, as they defeated the Le Mans team at home with a score of 93-90.
Aleksandar Dziewa led the winners with 18 points, while Makram Ben Romdhane added 13. Aron Broussard also scored in double digits with 12 points and eight assists.
For the visitors, Trevor Hudgins was outstanding with 30 points, but he missed the shot for overtime.
In Portugal, a drama unfolded at the end, even though the hosts had a comfortable lead for most of the match. However, Le Mans made a comeback, and with two seconds left, they could have tied the game. Nevertheless, Hudgins missed, Benfica secured the rebound, and ultimately confirmed the victory.
After this match, both teams have a score of 1-3 and face a tough battle in their quest to advance. In the fifth round, Benfica will visit Spartak in Subotica, while Le Mans will play at home against Gran Canaria.
