Rickey McGill of Patrioti Levice, Frank Bartley IV of AEK, Timmy Allen of Trapani Shark, Jordan Tucker of Elan Chalon, and Olek Balcerowski of Unicaja have been nominated for the Player of the Week award as members of the latest Team of the Week in the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.
The standouts announced on Thursday entered a fan vote on ChampionsLeague.Basketball to decide the Player of the Week. The winner will follow on Friday.
Per the press release: “The Basketball Champions League Season X continued with eight games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday gives us time to reflect on the best individual performances.
The sixth Team of the Week saw players from Patrioti Levice, AEK BC, Trapani Shark, Elan Chalon and Unicaja make the cut.
Rickey McGill is the engine of all things good for Slovak champions, and with him scoring above 20 again, Patrioti Levice defeated NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz to climb to 2-2.
Frank Bartley was unstoppable as AEK BC blew out VEF Riga by 31 points in the second half alone, setting his new BCL season-high for the fourth consecutive game.
Timmy Allen was unconscious in the fourth quarter, scoring 20 points in that period to power Trapani Shark to a win over Bnei Penlink Herzliya.
Jordan Tucker played his first game for Elan Chalon, coming off the bench to complete a -21 comeback and win the game with his clutch three-pointer.
Finally, the middle belongs to the defending champions. Aleksander Balcerowski played his best game of the season for Unicaja, helping them to a comfy win over Mersin Sports Club.”
