Trapani earned their third win of the season in the FIBA Basketball Champions League, defeating Tenerife 83–84 on the road in the fifth round of Group D.

The top scorer for the winning side was JD Notae with 23 points, while Jordan Ford added 14, two more than Matthew Hurt and Adama Sanogo.

On the other side, Jaime Fernandez scored 16 points, while Giorgi Shermadini added 13.

It was a very exciting game in Spain, and Trapani came away with the win in the end. The visitors had a double-digit lead entering the final quarter, Tenerife came back into the game, but ultimately could not avoid defeat.

However, despite the loss, they secured direct qualification to the Round of 16. Tenerife now has a 4–1 record, Trapani is at 3–2, but the Spaniards have the edge in the head-to-head matchups (they won in Italy 84–78), so they have locked up first place.

In the final round, Txus Vidorreta’s team will visit Bnei Herzliya, while Trapani travels to face Tofas in a game that will determine who finishes second and who finishes third in Group D.
