The Regular Season of the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, wraps up with 16 games all around Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Back-to-back champion, Unicaja, is already mathematically secured on top of Group G but took over as the team with the longest home streak ahead of a matchup with Karditsa Iaponiki and a possible 17th consecutive win in Malaga’s Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena on Wednesday. Also, Mersin Spor hosts Filou Oostende. However, this is the only group with all four seeds already decided before Gameday 6.
A three-way battle will conclude Group F on Tuesday, with Patrioti Levice welcoming VEF Riga in Bratislava’s Gopass Arena, and NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz in Miskolc’s DVTK Arena versus AEK. Only the undefeated Queen has secured a specific seed, which is the first.
Promitheas Vikos Cola needs a win against top-ranked Rytas to avoid elimination, with Legia Warszawa and MLP Academics Heidelberg facing each other on the other side of Wednesday’s schedule to finally clear the Group A picture.
In Group B, ALBA Berlin and Elan Chalon will battle for the top seed, while playing at home versus Sabah and ERA Nymburk, who in turn are looking to clinch the third seed on Tuesday.
A direct meeting between Tofas and Trapani Shark on Tuesday will decide second place in Group D. In contrast, the game between La Laguna Tenerife and Bnei PenLink Herzliya will not affect the final standings.
A similar situation in Group E on Wednesday, with Trieste and Fitness First Wurzburg balancing between the second and third seeds. The other contest sends Galatasaray MCT Technic to Laktasi opposite Igokea m:tel.
Third place is available in Group H on Tuesday. Le Mans is in control and at home opposite Spartak Office Shoes. Benfica is instead looking to beat Dreamland Gran Canaria and get some help.
Seeking second place in Group C, Cholet gets top-seeded Joventut Badalona, and Hapoel Netanel Holon gets eliminated Bursaspor on Wednesday.
