Szolnoki Olaj claimed a win in Round 6 of the FIBA Basketball Champions League, defeating AEK 80–69 on their home floor.
Boris Krnjajski produced a masterful performance for the hosts with 24 points and 15 assists, Brady Skeens also had a double‑double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Auston Barnes added 13.
On the other side, the Greeks had four players in double figures, with Adonis Arms scored 15, two more than Dimitrios Katsivelis.
The Hungarians are the first team this season to defeat AEK in the BCL, but this will not affect the standings for the Greek side, as they remain in first place in Group F at 5–1.
Interestingly, AEK led at halftime (46–40), but Szolnoki took control after the break, broke their opponent’s resistance and secured the victory.
Szolnoki finished the group stage with a 3–3 record, the same as Levice, but will go into the Play‑In from second place thanks to a better head‑to‑head points difference than the Slovak team.
