The Slovak team pulled off a surprise in the second game concluded this Tuesday

Levice secured a win in the first Play-In game of the FIBA Basketball Champions League by defeating Wurzburg on the road, with a 92-89 score.

Rickey McGill was the top performer for his team with 29 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Novak Music added 17 points, and Boris Bojanovsky scored 14.

On the other side, Davion Mintz scored 30 points, Brae Ivey contributed with 16 points and seven assists, and Charles Thompson had 14 points with nine rebounds.

Although Wurzburg entered the match as favorites, they suffered a setback and will now need to win two consecutive games if they wish to advance further. Levice won the first quarter 18-9, proving they were capable of triumph.

At the start of the third quarter, the hosts briefly took the lead, but Levice regained their advantage with a series of plays at the end of the third and the start of the fourth quarter, which they maintained until the end, securing a 1-0 lead.

The second game is scheduled for two days later in Slovakia, and if the Germans win, a third game will be played in Germany.
