The Greeks celebrated in Subotica after a thrilling game, thanks to a stellar performance from Brandon Jefferson

AS Karditsa secured a significant victory by defeating Spartak in Subotica with a score of 89-82 in the first Play-In game of the FIBA Basketball Champions League.

Brandon Jefferson played an excellent game for the visitors, scoring 27 points and providing seven assists. Damien Jefferson added 11 points, while Leonidas Kaselakis and Alexander Madsen each contributed 10 points.

For the home team, Shevon Thompson scored 21 points, while Olivier Hanlan added 15.

The evening was dominated by visiting teams, a trend that continued in Subotica where the Greek team achieved an important victory, moving a step closer to qualifying among the top 16 teams in the competition.

After nearly even play through three quarters, the decision came in the final quarter. AS Karditsa won it 25-20, hitting five three-pointers, to secure the triumph in northern Serbia.

A new game is scheduled in two days in Greece, while a potential third match would be played in Serbia.
