AEK Athens secured a victory in the third round of the Round of 16 in the Basketball Champions League, defeating Tofas away after overtime, with a score of 93-90.

The match in Turkey was decided after an additional five minutes of true drama. Both teams had the opportunity to win in regulation time, with RaiQuan Gray setting the final score (77-77).

After a series of misses, Vasilis Charalampopoulos had the chance to win it for the visitors at the buzzer but was off target. However, the Greeks eventually celebrated the win.

AEK quickly gained a six-point lead (91-85), and although the hosts managed to create drama by narrowing it down to just two points, Lukas Lekavicius secured the victory from the free-throw line.

RaiQuan Gray was the best in the winning team with 23 points, Frank Bartley added 21, and Lukas Lekavicius contributed 13.

On the other side, Alex Perez scored 17, one more than Marek Blazevic, who also had 13 rebounds.

After their ninth consecutive win in all competitions, AEK now has a 3-0 record in Group J and will visit AS Karditsa in the Greek derby next round. Meanwhile, Tofas stands at 1-2 and will play against ALBA in Berlin in seven days.
