The German team made a significant comeback in the final quarter to secure a victory, thanks to an impressive performance by Jack Kayil

Alba achieved an important victory in Berlin in the third round match of Group J in the Round of 16 of the BCL, defeating AS Karditsa at home with a score of 84-80.

Jack Kayil was impressive for his team with 20 points, Justin Bean added 14, Martin Hermansson 11, while Sam Griesel scored ten.

The guests were not aided by Brandon Jefferson’s masterful performance, who finished the game with 23 points and seven assists. Noah Horchler supported him with 17 points and ten rebounds, while Damien Jefferson scored 13.

Another match of the evening was decided after a thriller, and in the end, ALBA justified their role as favorites. AS Karditsa was in the lead from the second minute and held it until the 39th minute of the match. Then Kayil hit a three-pointer to give the Germans the lead (77-76), followed by Bean with three free throws, and the hosts secured the lead with confident free-throw shooting at the end.

The German team is now in second place in Group J with a 2-1 record and will host Tofas at the same location in six days. As for AS Karditsa, they have lost all three matches, and in the fourth round, they will face AEK in the Greek derby.
