Jeremiah Hill has officially secured the Basketball Champions League Player of the Week award for Gameday 4 of the Round of 16 in Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL. After being named to the Team of the Week, the 30-year-old Elan Chalon guard emerged victorious in a competitive fan vote, outlasting four other standout performers to claim the honors.
Leading into getting the nod on Friday, Hill took over in Le Colisee on Tuesday. Spearheading the offense, he tallied 25 points on an incredibly efficient 9/13 shooting performance. He was particularly lethal from long range, hitting 4/5 three-pointers to dismantle the defense of the previously unbeaten Asisa Joventut. In addition to his scoring outburst, Hill contributed six assists, two rebounds, and a steal in just over 28 minutes, proving he was the primary catalyst in handing the Catalonia outfit their first BCL defeat of the season and snapping their nine-game winning streak.
This crucial victory moved Chalon to a 2–2 record in the Round of 16, placing them in a dead heat with back-to-back champions Unicaja. They now sit just one game behind the group-leading Badalona squad and one game ahead of Fitness First Wurzburg Baskets. With the race for the Quarterfinals intensifying, Hill and Chalon look ahead to their final two group stage fixtures scheduled for March 10 and 17.
