The Basketball Champions League resumes on Tuesday (March 10) after a one-month break for the FIBA international windows and domestic cup competitions across Europe.

Several teams have been active on the transfer market recently, most notably Tenerife, which made a major splash by signing Patty Mills.

Before that, Jabari Parker’s move to Joventut Badalona had already turned heads, while AEK’s acquisition of James Nunnally in the very first minutes of 2026 also made waves.

Gran Canaria and Chalon have also made intriguing additions, signing Chimezie Metu and Grant Golden, respectively.

Eurohoops presents the Top 5 BCL player signings of 2026.

1. Patty Mills (Tenerife)

We begin with the most recent major signing, as Tenerife announced the addition of Patty Mills for the remainder of the season.

Although now 37 years old, the Australian guard remains a player of tremendous quality. He won an NBA championship in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs, playing for many years under legendary coach Gregg Popovich.

Mills has appeared in 1,020 NBA games, averaging 8.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest.

2. Jabari Parker (Joventut Badalona)

Badalona will host this season’s BCL Final Four and is clearly determined to do everything possible to reach the tournament and compete for the trophy.

With that goal in mind, the Spanish club recently acquired Jabari Parker on loan from Partizan. Parker was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, where he played alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and averaged 14.1 points per game over his NBA career.

During the current EuroLeague season, the 31-year-old American forward posted modest numbers, averaging 7.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Nevertheless, his quality remains unquestionable. He made an encouraging start with 13 points and 4 rebounds in his ACB debut against Granada.

3. James Nunnally (AEK)

Roughly half an hour after the arrival of 2026, AEK announced the signing of James Nunnally, a move that immediately made headlines.

The 35-year-old American guard/forward spent seven seasons in the EuroLeague, winning the title with Fenerbahçe in 2017, while also appearing in the NBA for three seasons.

So far this season, he has played three BCL games, including a standout performance against Karditsa, where he scored 32 points, adding 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while shooting 5/7 from three-point range for a 37 efficiency rating, highlighting his offensive talent.

4. Chimezie Metu (Gran Canaria)

Gran Canaria strengthened its frontcourt with the addition of Chimezie Metu.

The American-Nigerian center first arrived in Europe during the 2024–25 season with Barcelona, but in March of last year he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, ending his campaign.

Now, after a full year of recovery, the 28-year-old is ready to return to action with another Spanish club in the BCL.

Metu spent six seasons in the NBA, appearing in 263 games and averaging 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. If he returns to his pre-injury level, he could prove to be a major addition for Gran Canaria.

5. Grant Golden (Chalon)

The final name on the list is Grant Golden, a familiar face to fans of Greek basketball courts, having played for AEK during the 2024–25 season.

The 28-year-old American center contributes in many areas of the game. He recently joined Chalon after beginning the season with Manresa.

Golden has played four BCL games this season, averaging 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
