Will Cummings, the experienced guard of Galatasaray MCT Technic, has been diagnosed with sarcoidosis, the Turkish club announced.
The 33-year-old has already been sidelined for some time due to injury, and the diagnosis brings another setback as the most important stretch of the season approaches.
Cummings last appeared on January 31 in a game against Aliağa Petkimspor. The club did not specify how long he is expected to remain out of action.
Now in his second season with Galatasaray, Cummings averaged 15.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists across five appearances in the Basketball Champions League this season.
