AS Karditsa secured a victory in the sixth round of Group J in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, defeating Tofas away with a score of 98-90.

The Greek team concluded the match with seven players scoring in double figures, with Noah Horchler leading the way with 15 points. Alexander Madsen and Damien Jefferson added 14, Aaron Estrada had 13, and Nikos Diplaros scored 11, along with seven assists and six rebounds.

On the other side, Marek Blazevic scored 23 points for Tofas, Hugo Besson had 15 with eight rebounds and seven assists, Ozgur Cengiz had 13 and Emir Kabaca 12.

It was clear before the match that both teams were eliminated and that the game would have no impact on advancing further. However, AS Karditsa managed to get revenge on their rival for a defeat in the first part of the group stage. The third quarter was crucial, with the Greeks winning it 30-14, pulling away to an unassailable 79-61 lead. Tofas managed to reduce the margin in the final moments, but not enough to threaten the opponent’s lead.

Both teams finished the Round of 16 with a 1-5 record, but Tofas ranked third, and AS Karditsa fourth due to a lower head-to-head point difference.
