For the second consecutive week, the Basketball Champions League fans have spoken, voting Simonas Lukosius as the Player of the Week.
Emerging as a dominant force of Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, the 23-year-old guard converted a Team of the Week nod to the Player of the Week award for Gameday 6 of the Round of 16, as confirmed on Friday.
The undeniable engine of the Vilnius outfit, Lukosius, fueled a statement victory in Istanbul this past Wednesday. Facing Galatasaray MCT Technic at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center, the Lithuanian sniper delivered a masterclass in efficiency and poise. In 32 minutes of action, he racked up 22 points, fueled by a barrage of five three-pointers that silenced the home crowd and clinched the top spot in Group I. His impact extended far beyond scoring, as he also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out two assists, ensuring Rytas qualifies and secures home-court advantage in the Quarterfinals as well.
