ASISA Joventut formally announced a contract extension for head coach Dani Miret on Friday, securing his leadership through the 2027–28 season with an option for an additional year.
This extension reinforces the club’s dedication to its Green-and-black DNA, a philosophy rooted in promoting internal talent. Since taking the helm in April 2024, Miret has transformed the first team into a model of stability and competitiveness. His tenure has already been marked by impressive milestones, including back-to-back Copa del Rey appearances and a commanding 20-win season in the ACB, proving that his tactical depth matches his deep-rooted passion for the club.
The timing of the extension serves as a major morale booster as Joventut enters a critical stretch of the 2025-26 campaign. Currently sitting sixth in the Liga Endesa with a 15-8 record, the squad is shifting its immediate focus to the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, Quarterfinals. The upcoming best-of-three series against AEK, with the Queen holding home-court advantage, starts with Game 1 at SUNEL Arena on Wednesday.

Should Joventut advance, the season-ending tournament is slated for the first week of May at the Palau Municipal d’Esports de Badalona. Hosting the Final Four provides Miret with a golden opportunity to vie for international silverware on the very floor where he began his coaching journey nearly two decades ago.
Born in Badalona in 1985, he remains the ultimate symbol of the club’s developmental philosophy. Having climbed the ranks from the U14 and U18 levels to the professional stage, his career arc reflects a meticulous commitment to excellence.
