The Team of the Week in Game 2 of the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, was revealed on Thursday, following exciting action across big-time games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Standout performers Ricky Rubio and Adam Hanga proved transformative for Asisa Joventut, as the team levelled a best-of-three series against AEK. In Germany, Nihad Djedovic provided a masterclass in efficiency off the bench, propelling defending champions Unicaja past ALBA Berlin to clinch their fourth consecutive Final Four appearance. Meanwhile, John Meeks emerged as the hero for Galatasaray MCT Technic, delivering a clutch performance in a two-point victory over La Laguna Tenerife to force a Game 3. Rounding out the lineup, Gytis Masiulis anchored Rytas in a historic win over ERA Nymburk, securing the Lithuanian side’s first-ever trip to the Final Four.
Fans can now cast their votes on the official BCL portal to determine which of these stars will be crowned the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday.

The 19th Team of the Week saw players from Asisa Joventut, Unicaja, Galatasaray MCT Technic and Rytas Vilnius make the cut.
Ricky Rubio was the floor general Asisa Joventut needed to send the Quarter-Finals series back to Athens. He tormented AEK BC in his time on the floor, Joventut were a +27 team during his minutes.
Adam Hanga was the other Joventut player on the Team of the Week. The experienced Hungarian glue guy connected all the dots on both offense and defense, sailing through to 1-1 in the series.
Unicaja edged out ALBA BERLIN on the road in Germany, and their man with the most experience in the country came through. Nihad Dedovic came off the bench to lead the team in efficiency rating and book the defending champs their fourth straight BCL Final Four.
Galatasaray MCT Technic played a close game against La Laguna Tenerife. They forced Game 3 by winning by 2 after they had lost by 1, as John Meeks turned himself into the key piece of the puzzle for Gala.
Finally, the middle belongs to Gytis Masiulis. The Lithuanian giants booked their first Final Four appearance this week by defeating ERA Nymburk, and Masiulis will aim to continue the streak of Rytas players earning Player of the Week honors – Simonas Lukosius and Arturas Gudaitis picked up the last three votes here.”
