AEK have completed their first signing ahead of the 2026-27 season, officially announcing the arrival of Nelly Junior Joseph on a two-year contract running through the summer of 2028.
The 24-year-old Nigerian forward/center joins from Strasbourg, where he established himself as the top rebounder in the French league last season.
Joseph averaged 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks across 34 league appearances, while shooting 61.9% from two-point range.
Head coach Dragan Sakota identified Joseph as the club’s new starting center, although the 2.06-meter big man is also capable of playing power forward.
Before beginning his professional career in France, Joseph spent five seasons in the NCAA with Iona and New Mexico, averaging 10.3 points and 8.9 rebounds during his college career.
