The Basketball Champions League is gearing up for an action-packed 2026–27 season as several clubs solidify their lineups ahead of the Qualification Rounds and Regular Season.
In a headline-grabbing move, Giannoulis Larentzakis has officially completed his reunion with AEK shortly after parting ways with Olympiacos. The 32-year-old guard returns to the BCL to build on his previous tenure with the club, where he captured the title in 2018 alongside FIBA Intercontinental Cup and Greek Cup trophies. Under head coach Dragan Sakota, Larentzakis joins a deep squad featuring Frank Bartley IV, Charis Bilionis, Greg Brown III, Vassilis Chartonas, KeyShawn Feazell, Dimitris Flionis, Stavros Gymnopoulos, Nelly Joseph Jr., Dimitris Katsivelis, Lukas Lekavicius, Landers Nolley II, DeAndre Pinckney, Gaios Skordilis, Giorgos Tsalmpouris, and Derrick Williams. His next continental assignment is in Group C opposite Falco Szombathely, Windrose Giants Antwerp, and a Qualifiers winner.
On Tuesday afternoon, Spartak Office Shoes reshaped its roster for Group F, where they face Cholet and Hapoel Maoz Daniel Holon. The Serbian outfit welcomed 22-year-old forward Danilo Lacmanovic following the departure of guard Uros Banjac. Vying to punch their ticket into Group F via the Qualification Rounds, Rasta Vechta responded to injuries suffered by Lamin Sabally and D’Mitrik Trice by securing deals for Nelson Weidemann and Kihei Clark. Similarly, Patrioti Levice strengthened its rotation just before traveling to Samokov by signing Jelani Watson-Gayle, aiming to storm into AEK’s group.
