To be exact Kirk was a target of FIBA Basketball Chamnpions League champs Iberostar Tenerife, but he decided according to a report by Spanish journalist Chema de Lucas to try his luck in Japan.
It remains to be seen if this can be the start of a new trend, since the Japanese league so far was not considered a competitor for European basketball league.
