In the aftermath of everything that happened in the first leg of the Basketball Champions League between Murcia and Karsiyaka, the Spanish club expects from the competition to take action.

Murcia got the road win, but the game was disrupted due to a clock malfunction and also objects were thrown on the court towards Sadiel Rojas.

Alejandro Gomez, UCAM Murcia’s general manager used pretty harsh words for the incidents, talking to the local newspaper “Opinion De Murcia“: “The behavior of the Turkish team should automatically expel them from the competition and the second leg between us should not be played next Wednesday. It was a surreal experience. Neither the 24-second clock worked, but miraculously it was fixed when nobody was trying to fix it at the beginning of the second quarter. It seems to me that FIBA has to think very seriously about these events because if things are not corrected, they will hurt the competition. They have thrown all kinds of objects into the court and they have attacked Rojas. Regrettable the offender was benefitted by this incident. Those things have happened in the last century and FIBA must take measures”.
