The exciting Basketball Champions League Regular Season continued with Le Mans beating Nizhny Novgorod, 89-74, on Tuesday. The Antares crowd saw a closely contested match turn to a rout following the hosts 18-3 run completed in the beginning of the final quarter.

Cameron Clark made 10/19 from the field for his season-high 24 points. Valentin Bigote posted 15 points. Antoine Eito and Richard Hendrix added 13 apiece.

Evgeny Baburin sank 6/8 three-pointers for a total of 22 points, but the Russians didn’t avoid their third straight BCL defeat. Vladimir Dragicevic also notched 22 points with 11/14 two-pointers.

Both teams now have a 5-7 Group A record. However Eric Bartecheky’s club secured the tiebreaking advantage over their Week 12 opponents despite the 85-71 defeat in Russia last November.
