Yanick Moreira and Giannis Athinaiou recently departed, but PAOK is still gearing up for a Basketball Champions League playoffs berth. The Greek team proved it means business on Wednesday overpowering Opava, 93-43, in the PAOK Sports Arena Week 12 matchup. The hosts held their opponents to a BCL scoring-low and achieved the biggest win margin in the tournament’s history.

All eleven available players put points on the board including Johndre Jefferson who debuted with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. The 30-year-old American center ran through the Czechs frontline all game long.

Stravros Schizas poured 16 points and Linos Chrysikopoulos 13. Milenko Tepic added a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double. Radim Klecka had 11 points for the visitors, who played without Ludek Jerecka for almost the whole second half due the 35-year-old’s right leg injury.

Ilias Papatheodorou’s club approached a potential playoffs berth improving to 7-5. Already-eliminated Petr Czudek’s team dropped to 1-11 with its eleventh straight Group B defeat.
